The Wind Power Application with Permanent Magnets Synchronous Generator, with SCADA, "AEL-WPTC", is designed for studying the conversion of wind energy into electricity by means of a permanent magnet synchronous generator.
Doubly fed induction generator driven by a prime motor, used to investigate the design and operation of modern wind power stations. The SCADA reproduces a user defined wind curve and can inject voltage dips to study how the machine responds.
Containing a laboratory-scale aerogenerator, the Computer Controlled Wind Energy Unit, "EEEC", is used to study the conversion of kinetic wind energy into electrical energy, as well as the influence of some factors on this generation.
