A utility scale training system covering mechanical, electrical and smart grid power systems. Rather than simulating, it uses real generation, transmission and distribution hardware with control desks and protection panels arranged as in a control room.
A modular series covering power generation, transmission, distribution, consumption, protection relays, renewable sources and microgrids. Racks are combined to build the parts of a power system a course needs, all supervised from the SCADA system.
Reproduces the structure and operation of a real electrical network at laboratory scale, from generation through transmission and distribution to the loads. The SCADA system supervises the whole chain so overall network behaviour can be studied experimentally.
